Earlier in June I was invited to hold a VM workshop at BIRA along with Paul Buckle.
The workshop had been designed by myself and Paul, it is the third time we hold these workshops; they are especially helpful for retailers who cannot afford to have an in-house visual merchandiser.
The one day course covers the basics of visual merchandising and the power of merchandise display presentation in-store.
We had 11 delegates from unique retail background, selling from horse euipempents to hardware, glassware etc. Despite the variety of the group I managed to engage them in a fun and practical exercise by making them experiencimg the technique of choosing and grouping merchandise and in particular practising the pyramid method which they all got it.
We had some great feedback.
