I recently worked at the General Leather for a
window refit. The store has been around for 40 years and had not been
refurbished in a long while.
This was a low budget refit, so I suggested a few
small but important changes to the window display: to raise the floor to the
glass level, buy a new lighting track with new LED lighting system and buy a
small number of new mannequins with legs and arms as they only had bust forms.
The retailer is specialist in bespoke leather garments, accessories and leather
interior design. I came up with a couple of concepts to highlight the bespoke
part of the business, including a leather wall installation, however the final
decision was to have a Christmas window scheme as well as an element of the
leather making, hence the backdrop with details of work in progress. In the
future we may well create a leather workshop in the window, as it is a very
specious space and has great potentials.
