This year I managed to see the 85th edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo in Florence, a global fashion trade show presenting the collection of menswear for Autum winter 14/15. Targeted for buyers it is an event full of inspiring established and new brands,
all competing with incredible visuals, amazing attention to detail and an interesting pattern mixing extravaganza. It has been said that Pitti has a particular look: cropped suit jackets over oxford-cloth button-downs with knit ties, precision-folded pocket squares, cropped, tapered, and cuffed pants, and heavy-soled wingtips.
Visitors and models mix together in a dance of colour and patterns driving the photographers crazy with their Pitti’s street style look whilst dj sets, artists, musicians and dancers are entertaining you in the cortile. There are plenty of after show parties and events which go down very well with a glass of prosecco, a nice way to explore the beauty of this fantastic mystical city.
